The Maryland Assessment Group (MAG) is excited to offer another in-person conference to Maryland educators on November 16-18, 2022.
In partnering with the Maryland State Department of Education, educational leaders, local school districts, and vendors, MAG promises to provide sessions and professional development on a wide variety of educational topics facing schools as we move to implement the Blueprint for Maryland's Future! Now, more than ever, is the time to focus on student achievement and measures of academic success!
MAG is looking to provide sessions on the following topics:
-Implementing the Maryland Blueprint
-Building a robust, comprehensive assessment and instructional system
-The impacts of a pandemic on federal reporting elements on and accountability
-The transition to new MCAP assessments/computer adaptive testing)
-New MCAP assessments and standard setting
-Social/emotional learning
-Assessing the impact of Tier 2 & Tier 3 interventions
-Coaching for Implementation of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
-Technology in the Digital Environment
-SAT and AP assessments â then and now (Online testing)
-DLM and instructionally embedded assessments
-Updates on graduation requirements/EOC requirements
-College and career readiness tracking and assessment options
-Data integrity and confidentiality
-Making school improvement plans with lag and pandemic data
-District Benchmark Assessments/Formative Assessments
-Accommodations and Accessibility for SWD and ESOL students
-Survey-creation of items and how to effectively survey stakeholders
MAG is still accepting proposals for sessions. The program is filling up fast, so submit your ideas now.
Conference Registration Fees
Registration Options to Meet Every Need
The official conference runs from 3:30 PM, Wednesday, November 16th through 12:30 PM, Friday, November 18th. The following are included in the conference registration fees:
- Session offerings leading to 1 CPD credit
- Keynote sessions
- Maryland State Department of Education presentations
- Five robust meals including our signature seafood dinner
- Vendor displays and exhibitions including two social networking events
*You have the option to pay by credit card online or receive an invoice to mail with a check or purchase order.

Cancellation fee - on or before November 01, 2021- $60.00. No refunds after November 01, 2021.
Included Meals
Several meals are included in the conference fee. In order that we have an accurate count, please choose the meals you will attend. You will receive tickets for the meals you have chosen in your registration packet.
Don't miss our signature reception and Seafood Dinner on Thursday night*.
