  Maryland Assessment Group Fall Conference

"Transforming Maryland Education Through Policy and Practice"

We are excited with the new direction of the Maryland Assessment Group that will become immediately apparent when you visit our redesigned website - MAGonline.net.

This year's MAG conference will be held Monday, November 13 to Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the newly renovated and reimagined Ashore Resort & Beach Club in Ocean City**. All guest rooms have been completely renovated in the deluxe Beach Club style. As the Maryland Assessment Group is a non-profit organization, MAG vendors are an important part of the conference and help defray the cost of the conference for Maryland educators. They also provide critical information in support of delivering Maryland Assessment and Curricular programs. Our participants will be looking to collaborate with vendors who can provide products and services that will help inspire growth and improve performance within their school districts. Vendors have a wonderful opportunity to meet in-person with current and potential customers from all of Maryland's school districts.

The Exhibit Hall will open on Monday, November 13 at 2:00pm and close on Tuesday, November 14 at 5:00pm. Social events will be held in the Exhibit area.

All sponsors and exhibitors will enjoy Monday dinner, and Tuesday Breakfast and Lunch with our participants. This will provide vendors an opportunity to network with participants during informal events. 

In partnering with the Maryland State Department of Education, educational leaders, local school districts, and vendors, MAG promises to provide sessions and professional development on a wide variety of educational topics facing schools. Now, more than ever, is the time to focus on student achievement and measures of academic success! 

MAG is soliciting presentations that fit the following categories:

1.Instructional and Learning Best Practices

Teacher development, standards and curriculum alignment, pedagogy, multi-tiered systems of supports (MTSS), and student mental health. 

2.Formative and Summative Assessment

MCAP program, online assessment implementation, data reporting and research, College and Career Readiness (CCR) data

3.Accountability

MD Report Card, Tier 2 and 3 intervention tracking, identifying trends in student group data, Blueprint milestones and metrics, and school improvement planning.

*Conference Registration includes the ability to attend sessions and all conference meals including the special dinner on Tuesday night.
